We have arrived to Maweni Farm, a lodge and conference center in the Usambara mountains. You drive toward Moshi, and at Mombo you turn right and drive up onto the mountains. A tropical paradise awaits you.

Maweni lodge has four luxury tents, equipped with a tent bathroom. The guests of these tents gets equipped with kerosene lamps for the night, which is both a risk and a cost, apart from the poor light.

Emma Pmganga is greeting us welcome and we sit down to talk.
The guests here often come from Germany and Sweden. Very few come here from Africa. Yesterday we had 17 guest from Germany, and tomorrow another 20 guests are coming.

We are preparing Emma to become a tester and to manage the HiLight when we are gone.

As we sit and talk, the sun sets in the mountains, and we are entertained by a bird serenade.

Soon we will be served dinner, and tonight we will become testers ourselves as we settle into our tents.
